LG Viewty Vs LG Venus

When first glancing through the specs, this comparison may seem like a no brainer for two reasons. Firstly, the LG Viewty appears to have everything that a mobile phone could possibly require, and secondly, it has all these things and still maintains a pretty slim and sleek profile. Still, a closer look reveals that, as is often the case, first appearances aren't always right, and true beauty is not just skin deep.
Comparing Features of LG Viewty and LG Venus
While on the topic of size, both of these compare pretty well with each other. On a technical basis, the LG Venus is ever so slightly smaller, by a millimeter here and a millimeter there. Perhaps every little bit does count, but to be completely honest, it would take either good measuring or comparing both the phones side by side to notice the difference.
One difference that doesn't take too much to notice however is that of the display screens themselves, where the LG Viewty has a clear advantage. Weighing in at 3 inches, it is a whole inch bigger than that of the LG Venus, and although there is a reason for this that shall be apparent later, a bigger screen generally gives more options to everything from web browsing to viewing pictures.
Speaking of pictures, the cameras that both phones have provide another huge difference. Sadly, the 3 megapixel camera of the LG Venus, despite the autofocus and digital zoom, just can't quite compare to the 5 megapixel camera that the LG Viewty has, with its very own Schneider-Kreuznach lens, autofocus and Smartlight feature that helps out with dark backdrops. Simply put, the LG Viewty provides some of the best image captures that mobile phones have to offer, whereas the LG Venus provides average ability that is by no means nearly as good.
One of the biggest differences however lies with the user interface itself. Short version is, both the LG Venus and LG Viewty offer similar options of differing natures. Where the LG Viewty has a full touch screen, the LG Venus has a mini panel of touch sensitive buttons that account for the 1 inch lesser display size. Although the touch screen of the LG Viewty is a great feature, so too is the panel that the LG Venus has. Most notably, the panel of the LG Venus morphs its icons according to function, displaying only those connected to the task being performed at any given time. This range, coupled with the slide-out keypad on the LG Venus that, again, the LG Viewty does not posses, allows for entirely new options in usage, and increased flexibility.
Whether or not the user interface itself is reason enough to justify the LG Venus' lesser features when compared to the LG Viewty is up for debate. No matter how it is put however, the LG Venus does have its very own attractive features despite being on a lower scale of technology than the LG Viewty. In the end, which is better is a matter of personal choice.

Nokia 2630 Vs Samsung L200

Comparing a mobile phone and a camera is never the easiest thing in the world to do, for obvious reasons. Both the Nokia 2630 and the Samsung l200 are focused on vastly different areas; the former having the primary task of making and receiving phone calls, and the latter solely dedicated to snapping pictures. However, ever since mobile phones began to evolve into the do-everything devices that they so often turn out to be nowadays, there is some small overlap that has undoubtedly occurred between them and digital cameras.
Naturally, this is in no small part due to the fact that one of the areas that is most focused on in so many mobile phones is that of incorporating digital camera functionality into their usage. So, perhaps comparing the Nokia 2630 and the Samsung l200 is not such a stretch after all.
Camera Phone vs. Digital Camera
In essence it would be pretty trying on any mobile phone, even the high end variety, to compare them to a dedicated digital camera such as the Samsung l200. When that phone is the Nokia 2630 however, it is even more trying as not only is the Nokia 2630 most definitely not within the bracket of the high end type phones, but it is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum in the entry level mobile phones section.
Comparing the overlap that is the camera on the mobile phone that is the Nokia 2630 and the digital camera that is the Samsung l200, the blindly clear verdict already becomes visible. For starters, the camera that the Nokia 2630 possesses is a VGA quality camera, with 640x480 pixel resolution. Roughly translated, this means that it has absolutely nothing when in competition with the 10.2 megapixels that the Samsung l200 uses to great effect.
On top of that, photographing ability is not purely a case of resolution, and the Samsung l200 has a host of other features that complement its resolution capabilities. One of the most obvious would be the autofocus that really, no self respecting camera could ever be without. Unfortunately, the Nokia 2630 does not have any autofocus, and so is already behind on the count.
Furthermore, by merit of the 3x optical zoom, and 5x digital zoom, the Nokia 2630 really has little by way of answering the challenges that the Samsung l200 poses in photography. Apart from all that, other features such as image stabilisation make further comparison completely unnecessary, and even painful by nature.
On the bright side for the Nokia 2630, the Samsung l200 is completely incapable of sending or receiving phone calls. Of course, this does not excuse the dismal performance of the Nokia 2630, but to be completely fair, with most mobile phones just only breaching the 5 megapixel resolution part, even the highest market of mobile phones would have a tough time competing.
Essentially, for any who wants a camera, then the Samsung l200 gives a great experience. On the opposing end, the Nokia 2630 is also specifically designed for entry level mobile phone users, and certainly has an appeal with its understated simplicity.

Inside the Apple 3g - What You Should Know!

Apple quotes 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode -- no word on standby time yet. In a twisted way, this is one rumor mill we're almost sad to see grind to a halt; after all, when is the next time we're going to have an opportunity to run this picture? Apple is a product company. It's a hardware company. Apple has to maintain the stability and security of the device as well as avoid pissing off ATT and getting sued over infringement for 3rd party apps.
Apple is trying to kill off the I-touch and possibly eventually the I-pod making the I-phone the main star of the show. The marketing plan is to lead buyers to this easy $199 and $299 price as the less powerful devices (I-phone,and I-pod) are kept at higher prices which will eventually kill them off. Apple's iPhone SDK doesn't permit simultaneous running of applications, but programs usually save their state when they exit and recover it on launch, giving the appearance of task switching. Apple claims that the advertisement implied the availability of webpages, rather than their specific appearance.
Apple has updated the iPhone baseband, which means that by moving to the new version you risk to make yours un-unlockable in the future. Apple's claims that speeds are twice as fast as Edge were confirmed by my own download tests. It generally took 10 to 30 seconds to load popular websites through 3G, a lot zippier than when I accessed the sites on Edge. Apple does not guarantee that these links will be maintained or functional at any given time. Use the information below at your own discretion.
Apple said its stores will be open starting at 8 a.m. Friday for customers. Apple is promising to sell 10 million of the gizmos this year; many investors are betting the Cupertino, Calif., company will sell many more than that. Yet Jobs has managed to keep the look, the feel and a complete list of the phone's features under wraps. Apple made a cool-looking, well-designed phone for you, but in this economy I cannot justify adding a $120 expense without cutting down somewhere else to make up the difference. You'll get what you get and nothing more.
Apple isn't perfect. I don't know of many people who think it is. Apply tape to all the places you experience light leak. Apple, for instance, will charge $99 a year for its new MobileMe, which e-mail, contact and calendar updates to users' devices.
Apple has slacked on the copy and paste feature for the iPhone. One app, MagicPad, made it available but it only worked within itself. Apple is all about the interface. That's why they rule. Apple and Dell could then continue to fine tune their marketing to the dropouts, drug addicts, drunks and dirt bags. It would be a great marriage and an ideal targeted.
Apple has since acknowledged this issue (among others). We also noticed on the phone that if you have synced MobileMe calendars, your calendar subscriptions (like, say, shared Gcal or what have you) are disabled. Apple has plainly learned the lesson. Last year, the company vowed it would eventually open up the iPhone. Apple has really flubbed this up pretty badly IMHO. I really hope that the September update finally brings 2.x up to release quality, but am, admittedly, tending toward skeptical at this point.
AppVee each application based on a variety of factors depending on the type of app. For entertainment applications, for example, apps are rated on ease of use, features, frequency of use, interface and usefulness. Apple has quietly allowed open source iPhone development since the original iPhone was introduced. The community was gaining ground and respect. Apple's hugely anticipated iPhone does more than make calls, it also supports a digital-music player that syncs with iTunes. The thin design is dominated by a vivid touch screen that showcases videos and photos beautifully.
Apple 's combines the functionality of an Internet -enabled cell phone with that of an iPod media player . In addition to the usual suite of communication features on a mobile phone, the iPhone can access the Internet via its EDGE or 3G wireless data connection. Apple rumors can amount to massive attention for any blog, a rule of thumb that even applies to Digg founder Kevin Rose. It's difficult for bloggers to resist the delicious temptation of spreading Apple rumors along with a "leaked photo" as the prize inside.
Apple new venture with Best Buy should help it achieve its goal of 10 million units sold by the end of 2008 . Apple's own support phones were so jammed that we were unable to get through until late Friday evening. Meanwhile, instructions on the Apple website for basic functions, such as configuring your email, were confusing and of little help.

HTC Diamond's Audio and Sound Quality Review

HTC Touch Diamond with its 4GB built in memory can generally be regarded as "MP3 player with phone in it". The reason behind testing its audio is because at present, audio capabilities are not only necessary when listening to music but for podcast as well. Examples would be audio files that can be access by RSS feeds for automatic transfer (in order that new episodes come in the device automatically, and that you don't need to run through some website and download it manually and individually.
The Diamond is a device perfect when listening to audio. Its 4GB memory entirely means that you're getting huge amount of space for those audio files. Its power to look into album art is important for numerous podcast and music files. A brilliant idea of having a podcast downloader included makes it very handy and that you need not use a PC computer any longer. Everything can be done right from your HTC Touch Diamond!
Aside from that, another interesting feature is it "audio booster" option - just another indication that this handset was meant to be a sensational audio player. This option is activated when the stereo headset is plugged in.
An application for audio and video streaming with the use of RTSP protocol let's you avail of better support when having live radio streaming, although unlimited data plan is required for such, but that is commonly available from respective mobile carrier.
HTC Touch Diamond is able to play audio in various other formats, aside from the global MP3 standard for audio. These include the M4A which is popular amongst podcasters. Diamond also supports stereo audio through Bluetooth - A2DP and users can use any Bluetooth headset. Also diamond's sound quality during phone calls definitely exceeds your standards. With verified tests that were accomplished with the help of Mobile Tech Addicts, a conclusion has been achieved that HTC Touch Diamond really surpasses the norms of sound quality.
